Upon retirement from my three careers as an engineer, real estate banker and software consultant I joined my wife and took up painting. Its been a blast. My preferred painting medium is oil and my preferred style is representational and impressionistic realism. I find myself drawn to plein air painting of landscapes, seascapes and buildings as well as still life. A successful painting in my eyes is one that evokes emotion or that leads the viewer’s mind to relate to familiar images, objects, places or experiences.
My home base is in Rhode Island however I have painted in various locations in the US and Europe. Here’s to the inspiration of travel.
